FAQ > Kettlebells > Why do different manufacturers charge different prices for KBs?
The price of a kettlebell depends on several factors, including size, finish, and (unfortunately) hype. Finish (smoothness, paint quality) is the primary differentiator between brands. In general, the more you pay for a kettlebell, the better you can expect the finish to be.
Some kettlebell manufacturers charge a premium for their brand name, while others sell deeply discounted kettlebells made from substandard materials. Others charge exorbitant handling charges in addition to already high shipping charges. Be wary of any manufacturer that prices their KBs substantially above or below their competitors.
Our kettlebells are cast iron, with 38-42 millimeter handles and a slightly rough finish. They represent a good compromise between price and quality, and are very good for one- and two-handed swinging, their primary uses in Crossfit WODs.
